Swedish phrases for making plans

What the lesson covers

This lesson focused on practical Swedish phrases for making plans and discussing availability. Key vocabulary included "att träffa" or "att möta" (to meet), "träffas" or "mötas" (to meet each other), and "möte" or "träff" (a meeting). Students learned to say "busy" as "upptagen" (literally "taken up") and "already" as "redan." The lesson also covered "att ringa" (to call), "sen" (later), and "råd" (advice), noting that "jag har inte råd" means "I cannot afford." Other terms included "att ta" (to take), "pengar" (money), "att behöva" (to need), and "att sakna" (to lack or miss). The distinction between "tagen" (taken, referring to a male/female noun) and "taget" (taken, referring to a neuter noun) was explained, along with "gift med" (married to/with) and "singel" (single). Practical sentences were practiced for scheduling, declining invitations due to being busy, and asking for or giving advice.
