How the words are chosen
Every word comes from the 6,000 most frequent words in Swedish film and TV subtitles, the closest large sample of everyday spoken Swedish. Only nouns, verbs and adjectives with a real example sentence make the cut, and each word appears once before any repeats. Nouns come with en or ett, verbs with their past and supine; learn them together and you never have to guess later.
Want more than one a day? The most common Swedish words list has the top 5,000 as Anki decks, and the free first season of the Lingolib course puts the words into conversations.
