Good to know
- "Vabba" (from "vård av barn") means staying home with a sick child. You tell your employer and report it to Försäkringskassan to get paid.
- Preschools usually want children to be symptom-free for a while before coming back, often longer after a stomach bug. Ask your preschool for its rules.
- Tell the preschool about food rules. Special diets for religious reasons, like halal, are normally respected.
- Label everything with your child's name and keep spare clothes on the shelf. Children are outdoors in almost all weather.
