Getting on the bus (På bussen)

Most buses in Sweden do not take cash. You tap a travel card or show a ticket in the app, and the driver may only say two words.

Many regions let you tap a bank card at the reader. Not all of them do.

If you have a pram you can get on at the back.
"Kliva på" = get on. "Där bak" = at the back, spoken form of "där bakom".

Buy the ticket in the regional transport app before you get on, or tap a travel card. Paying cash on board is rare or impossible.
Each region has its own app, tickets and rules, so a ticket from one city usually does not work in another.
Riding without a valid ticket can give you a large fine from ticket inspectors.
