At the dentist's reception (Hos tandläkaren)

Many people go to Folktandvården, the public dental service, but there are many private dentists too. Watch the rule about cancelling in time.

    "Just det" = right, exactly. Used when you find what you were looking for.

    "Avboka" = cancel a booking. "Senast" = at the latest.

    "Uteblivet besök" = a missed appointment, a no-show.

Good to know

  • Cancel at least 24 hours ahead, or you will usually be charged a fee even if you don't come.
  • Children and young adults get free dental care up to a certain age, and adults get a yearly dental allowance that lowers the price. The rules can change, so check with your dentist or Försäkringskassan.
  • Prices are set by each clinic. You can ask for a cost estimate before larger treatment.
